SINGAPORE MARITIME SERVICES GUIDE 2017/2018
Ambassadors provide advice on career prospects in the maritime industry to students at the junior college or secondary school level. The inaugural session was held on 16 April 2016 at the Tampines JC’s Career Symposium. Ms Jackie Lan from the marine insurance sector and Mr Wayne Siek from the marine and offshore sector were amongst the 12 speakers invited to share their personal experiences and talk about opportunities available for students.
MaritimeONE Scholarship Programme – Nurturing the Next Generation
Spearheaded by SMF and its maritime partners, the MaritimeONE Scholarship seeks to attract promising young talents to join the maritime industry. The scholarship finances students for maritime-specific diploma and degree courses at home and abroad. In August 2016, scholarships valued at more than S$880,000 were awarded to 37 students at the MaritimeONE Scholarship Awards Ceremony.
